Helping Hands

A LITTLE HELPING HAND IN THE WIDER COMMUNITY

Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a project set up in partnership with Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association with funding from the Government’s People and Community Fund.  It builds on our success at the Food Station with Cooking Classes and a Growing Space, and includes our Hit Squads Service.  It helps those living in the South East area of Edinburgh, and is based at Craigmillar.

If you would like to get involved, we need volunteers for the Growing Space and the Hit Squads.  We're not asking for you to be an expert gardener or decorator, we're asking for enthusiasm and a willingness to help people get their lives back on track.  For more information, please have a look at the role descriptions, and if you need any further information, please contact helpinghands@freshstartweb.org.uk
